ontemporary artist Sharon Binder specializes in calligraphy and themes derived from the Bible,
Jewish tradition and the Land of Israel. Her artwork is highly prized by collectors around the world and graces Jewish
synagogues and institutions on three continents. Recent exhibits of her work have included the Yeshiva University
Museum, Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (Jerusalem), and the Fuchsberg Center for Conservative Judaism
(Jerusalem.) Specially commissioned pieces have been presented to such dignitaries as the late Prime Minister of Israel
Yitzhak Rabin and the late King Hussein of Transjordan.
In addition to her popular series of sukkah panels, Sharon has produced a wide variety of prints, from hand pulled
silkscreens to indigo and digital prints. These reflect the Jewish holidays and famous quotes from the Bible and
rabbinic literature. Many of these are appropriate for special birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, baby gifts, bar and
bat mitzvah gifts, house warmings, and other occasions. She has also designed a number of unique gifts for the home,
incorporating her original designs into modern-day Judaica and household items.
Sharon is currently expanding her range of
prints and products, with new items added regularly to the website
catalogue, and is completing an illustrated Book of Ruth.
